Education: 💫 I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from William Paterson University and my Master’s in Public Health, with a concentration in Community Health and Social Sciences, from the CUNY Graduate School of Public Health and Health Policy. I’m a certified Mat Pilates instructor through Perfect Posture Pilates, trained under Varvara Kalinin. In addition to Pilates, I’m certified to teach kickboxing and have a black belt from Tiger Schulmann’s Martial Arts. My background allows me to bring a well-rounded, mindful, and strength-based approach to movement and overall wellness.  Â
Why do I practice Pilates? 💫
After decades of high-intensity training, Pilates showed me that strength doesn’t have to mean force. It helped me slow down and feel more grounded. I love that it allows me to build strength while improving my mobility and flexibility.
Why do I teach Pilates? 💫
I teach Pilates because I want to empower my clients to feel connected to their bodies, build strength, and move with confidence—both in and out of the studio.
What to expect from my Group Mat Classes? 💫
My group classes are strength-based Classical Mat Pilates. I always offer modifications and progressions for all levels. We begin by breathing and connecting to the core, then mobilize the body for alignment and ease of movement, and build to applied strength through Classical Mat Pilates exercises. I also incorporate props to enhance movement, add challenge, and support proper alignment.
